BLUES ASIA TV: Episode 4.2
Lots of “insider” shop talk, plus music from Dom Turner, Tibuan, Little Duke and the Mekong Blues Messengers, Brendan Power, Nan & Zhin and Sungha Jung.
YouTube videos of live band gigs flood the internet. But are they good advertising for bands? Mostly, the poor quality does not show off a band in a good light. BLUES ASIA TV addresses this problem in Episode 4.2. Dom Turner of Australia’s Backsliders plans a drop-in appearance at Crazy Elephant in Singapore. Brendan Power, voted Top Harmonica Player of 2011, tours Asia, beginning 22 November and providing workshops in concerts in India, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Indonesia. Plus blues performances by Little Duke and the Mekong Blues Messengers [Cambodia] and Nan and Zhin [Malaysia]. Plus our spotlight on a young musician of note.
